Abstract

Airborne radar is a crucial device for assisting in the identification of vessel traffic routes.Aimed at the problem that the errors in the beam scheduling pointing angle of airborne radar tend to cause the reduction of the performance efficiency and even the loss of the target,an AIS-based calibration and compensation algo-rithm for airborne radar beam scheduling errors is proposed.Firstly,the time aligning of AIS and aircraft platform position data is performed by using interpolation and extrapolation method.Then,the spatial coordinate transfor-mation method is utilized to unify coordinate systems of the matched data,and the beam pointing angle error is calculated via mechanism.Subsequently,the empirical mode decomposition(EMD)algorithm is employed to de-compose and filter out random fluctuation errors,thereby achieving the calibration and compensation of the devia-tion in the airborne radar beam scheduling pointing angle.Finally,simulation experiments are designed to verify the effectiveness of the algorithm.The experimental results indicate that the proposed algorithm can effectively perform the calibration and compensation of the airborne radar's beam pointing angle,and improve the safety and management efficiency of maritime space intelligent transportation.
