Abstract
The 14th Five-Year Plan period marks a crucial stage for the transformation and upgrading of China's publishing industry.Significant achievements have been made in the construction of the publishing talent pool in terms of policy and institutional development,education in publishing disciplines at universities,continuing education and training systems for in-service personnel,technical adaptability of publishing talents,and the scale and structure of professional publishing talent teams.However,challenges remain,including the need for enhanced supporting measures for certain policies,a continued shortage of versatile publishing talents,widening regional imbalances in publishing talent development,and inadequate talent reserves for international expansion.This paper reviews and summarizes these achievements and challenges,anchors on the goal of building a powerful cultural nation,and explores pathways to promote the construction of the publishing talent pool during the 15th Five-Year Plan period.These include relying on the"co-construction of publishing disciplines and majors"to further leverage the important role of universities,publishing research institutions,and publishing groups in collaboratively cultivating publishing talents;conducting widespread training in digital and intelligent literacy for employees in traditional positions to enhance their ability to capture information and utilize big data to optimize their daily work;emphasizing the integration of local cultural characteristics in the construction of publishing talent teams in central and western regions to pursue"uniqueness"and"irreplaceability";establishing multilingual publishing cooperation centers in countries along the Belt and Road to cultivate planning talents with expertise in international copyright law and language skills,among others.The aim is to provide theoretical support and practical references for the high-quality development of the publishing industry.As we approach the final year of the 14th Five-Year Plan and prepare for the upcoming 15th Five-Year Plan period,the construction of the publishing talent pool will undoubtedly become a core factor driving the high-quality development of the publishing industry.From the strategic priority given by the Party and the state to the construction of the publishing talent pool to the introduction and improvement of a series of support policies;from the meticulous cultivation of high-end composite talents to the steady growth in the number of talents for integrated publishing development;from the continuous enhancement of the attractiveness of publishing industry jobs to the increasingly mature coordinated development mechanisms for regional publishing talents;from the solid cultivation of talents at all levels and in various fields to the upgraded reserve of talents for international expansion in publishing...the publishing industry needs to consolidate efforts from multiple parties to optimize the talent system in a comprehensive and multi-layered manner.Through this series of scientific and systematic measures,guided by Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era,during the crucial period of comprehensively advancing the construction of a powerful nation and the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation through Chinese-style modernization,the publishing industry will surely be able to better fulfill the noble mission of disseminating excellent Chinese culture and promoting cultural confidence and the construction of a powerful cultural nation,thus contributing more wisdom and strength to the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.关键词
