摘要

Abstract

Objective:To analyze the biomechanics of attachment dentures and traditional removable dentures in re-pairing dental defects using a photoelastic model.Methods:A dental arch defect superhard plaster model was prepared ac-cording to the 1∶1 standard model of bilateral mandibular first and second molar loss.Based on this model,a silicone rubber negative mold was replicated,and then an epoxy resin photoelastic model was prepared.Magnetic attachment dentures and traditional clasp removable dentures were designed and prepared.The dentures were physiologically placed in the epoxy resin photoelastic models and the alveolar mucosa and periodontal membrane were simulated.Under freezing temperature,a vertical loading force of 1 kg was applied to the mandible for central and lateral occlusal loading.After stress freezing,all the first mo-lars,the second molars,the first premolars,and the second premolars on both sides of the mandible were collected,and corre-sponding mesial sections were taken to observe the stress distribution.The number of stress fringes per unit thickness at the top of the alveolar ridge and the number of stress fringes per unit thickness at the maximum stress points of the buccal and lingual alveolar bones were recorded.Results:Under the loading of central and lateral occlusion,the stress distribution of the alveolar ridge top,buccal and lingual alveolar bones of the two denture models was uniform,and the maximum stress in both denture models was concentrated on the buccal and lingual sides of the alveolar bone of the first molar.The maximum stress on the alveolar ridge crest,buccal and lingual alveolar bones of magnetic attachment dentures was lower than that of tradition-al removable dentures.The maximum stress at each point of the lateral occlusal loading of the two denture models was higher than that of the central occlusal loading,and the maximum stress on the equilibrium side of the lateral occlusal loading was higher than that on the working side.Conclusion:The stress distribution of magnetic attachment dentures and traditional re-movable dentures is uniform at all points,and the maximum stress is concentrated in the missing tooth area.However,the magnetic attachment dentures have lower stress on the base teeth and missing tooth areas,and they are more beneficial to the periodontal health of the base teeth and missing tooth areas.
