Abstract

The parabolic modification method for the cycloid gear in the rotary vector(RV)reducer lacks reasonable modification parameters,resulting in incomplete improvement of transmission accuracy.Therefore,an optimization method for tooth profile modification parameters was proposed based on the parabolic modification principle.By employing the tooth contact analysis(TCA)for cycloid-pinion transmissions,the influence of parabolic modification parameters on the transmission error of the cycloid gear was investigated.An optimization model for modification parameters was established with the goal of minimizing transmission error,and the particle swarm optimization(PSO)algorithm was utilized to solve the model,thereby obtaining the optimal modification parameters.Comparative experiments on transmission error before and after parameter optimization demonstrate that the optimized parameters reduce the transmission error of the cycloid gear by approximately 1.393 2″arcseconds(65%of the pre-optimization value)in theoretical gear contact analysis,verifying the effectiveness of the proposed method.
