Effect of Hydrothermal Process on the Zinc Anodes Protection of Cobalt Tungstate Coating
摘要
Abstract
During the cycle of an aqueous zinc ion battery,dendrite growth,hydrogen evolution reaction,and passivation occur on the surface of the zinc anode.These side reactions significantly reduce cycle reversibility and service life of the battery.In order to solve the above problems,cobalt tungstate was prepared by hydrothermal method and coated on the zinc anode as a protective layer,so as to suppress the problems existing on the zinc anode and improve the electrochemical performance of the aqueous zinc ion battery.Most importantly,the improvement effect of cobalt tungstate prepared by different hydrothermal processes on the properties of zinc anode was investigated.Samples before and after the cycle were analyzed through X-ray diffraction,scanning electron microscopy and electrochemical analysis.the cobalt tungstate prepared at a hydrothermal temperature of 180℃ and a hydrothermal time of 8 h has the best effect as the zinc anode coating material,and the side reactions on the zinc anode were effectively inhibited.At the current density of 0.5 mA·cm-2,the half battery assembled with CoWO4@Zn anode can cycle 200 cycles stably,and the average coulomb efficiency is maintained at 98.78%.The specific capacity of the CoWO4@Zn||NH4V4O10 full battery is maintained at 160 mAh·g-1 after 100 cycles at 5 A·g-1.关键词
