The Paths of Improving the Business Performance of State-owned Forest Farms Empowered by Digital Technology
摘要
Abstract
(1) Background——The business performance of China's state-owned forest farms has a profound impact on ecological environment management and ecological civilization construction.Digital technology provides strong support for state-owned forest farms to optimize resources allocation,enhance ecological protection ability and im-prove business performance.Digital technology has become a key driving force for the development of state-owned forest farms,however,the existing researches have not analyzed the impact of digital technology on the business performance of state-owned forest farms from the perspective of digital technology empowerment. (2) Methods——Taking 82 provincial state-owned forest farms in Fujian province as the research objects,this paper analyzed the impact of digital technology adoption,scientific research innovation,natural resources conditions and government supports on the business performance of the state-owned forest farms,and discussed the mechanism of digital technology on the improvement of business performance.Three configuration paths to a-chieve high business performance were identified by fuzzy-set qualitative comparative analysis(fsQCA),and the necessary conditions of the factors affecting business performance were verified by necessary condition analysis(NCA).The research data came from 82 valid questionnaires obtained by the research group from July to August 2024,official websites of relevant government departments,Fujian Statistical Yearbooks and some open research data platforms. (3) Results——The close linkage of the digital technology adoption,the potential of scientific research in-novation and the natural resources conditions is the core factor to improve the business performance of the state-owned forest farms.Especially in the case of insufficient government supports or limited resources,digital tech-nology can significantly improve the self-management ability and business performance of the state-owned forest farms.Three paths to improve the business performance are identified:the type of breakthroughs led by scientific research and innovation,the type of digital collaboration guided by the government,and the type of integration of digital technology and ecology. (4) Conclusions and Discussions——Based on the above research conclusions,the following policy sug-gestions are put forward:First,strengthen the construction of digital infrastructure and consolidate the foundation of digital transformation of the state-owned forest farms.Special funds and policy platforms should be set up to support the state-owned forest farms in constructing key digital infrastructure.Second,Promote the digital trans-formation of each state-owned forest farm according to its natural resources endowments and its digital economic development level,realize the efficient linkage of resources and technologies.Third,establish a digital perform-ance evaluation system,regularly evaluate the process of digital transformation of the state-owned forest farms,and provide rewards for the state-owned forest farms with outstanding results.Meanwhile,strengthen technical training for employees,enhance their ability to apply digital technology,and promote the joint of the state-owned forest farms with local governments,scientific research institutions and enterprises through cross-regional cooper-ation mechanisms.关键词
