Abstract

(1) Background——Forest carbon sinks is an important means to deal with global climate change and pro-mote the realization of China's dual-carbon targets.However,for a long time,problems such as supply-demand imbalance and mismatch in the carbon sinks market have not been effectively solved,which restricts the market-oriented development of forest carbon sinks trading in China.Tourism is one of the important factors contributing to global climate change.Therefore,exploring an effective carbon benefits sharing model is of great significance to guide tourists to voluntarily purchase forest carbon sinks and realize the value of forest ecological products. (2) Methods——Based on the theory of Stimulus-Organism-Response(SOR),this paper first discussed the mechanism of environmental quality perception on tourists'purchase intention of forest carbon sinks,and put forward the research hypotheses.The research data came from a questionnaire survey of the tourists in Shunchang County,Fujian Province in October 2023,and a total of 366 valid questionnaires were obtained.Then,based on the pilot project of"one-yuan carbon sinks"pioneered in Shunchang County,Fujian Province,PLS-SEM meth-od was used to test the reliability and significance of the data,and further explore the impact mechanism of envi-ronmental quality perception on the tourists'purchase intention of forest carbon sinks. (3) Results——First,in ecotourism,environmental quality perception,sense of awe and sense of responsi-bility have a significant positive impact on the tourists'purchase intention of forest carbon sinks.Second,the tourists'own sense of awe and responsibility are also important factors affecting their purchase intention of forest carbon sinks.The tourists with a strong sense of awe and responsibility are more likely to engage in responsible environmental behaviors.Third,under the multi-chain mediating effect of sense of awe and responsibility,envi-ronmental quality perception affects the tourists'purchase intention of forest carbon sinks through three mediating paths:1)the mediating role of sense of awe;2)the mediating role of sense of responsibility;3)the chain me-diating role of sense of awe and responsibility.Fourth,the impact of environmental quality perception on the tour-ists'purchase intention of forest carbon sinks is negatively moderated by ecological identity. (4)Conclusions and Discussions——Promoting the value realization of forest ecological products and ru-ral ecological revitalization is an important way to realize ecological benefits.First,improve the quality and expe-rience of the environment,and stimulate tourists'intention to purchase forest carbon sinks and protect nature.We should integrate AI technology into the environmental education and publicity and create a cultural landscape integrating wetland culture,migratory birds culture,farming culture and food culture.Second,utilize the natural landscape for ecological education to enhance tourists'sense of awe.Design ecological experience activities to let tourists immerse themselves in the greatness and mystery of nature.Third,inspire tourists'sense of environmen-tal responsibility and promote the practices of forest carbon sinks purchase and ecological protection constantly.Establish a clear environmental responsibility convention,and carry out environmental volunteer activities in sce-nic spots.Fourth,display the results of forest carbon sinks to stimulate tourists'purchasing behaviors and avoid the potential negative effects of ecological identity.
