摘要

Abstract

Radionuclides in the soil surrounding the Bayan-Ula uranium mine were measured and environmen-tal radioactivity and its potential effects on the residents'health were assessed.By collecting 43 soil samples within 30 km of uranium mining area,the radionuclide content was determined by ultra-low background and high purity germanium γ-ray spectrometer,and the distribution of nuclide was analyzed by ArcGIS10.8 mapping software.The results showed that the average specific activity values of 238U,232Th,226Ra,40K and 137Cs in surface soil samples of uranium mining area are(10.52±1.89),(23.75±4.28),(16.32±2.94),(737.82±132.86)and(3.14±0.57)Bq/kg re-spectively.Except for the radionuclide 40K,which is higher than the background level of environmental radioactivity in China and the world of 580 Bq/kg and 412 Bq/kg,the other radionuclides are within the background level of envi-ronmental radioactivity.The conclusion shows that the level of environmental radioactivity within 30 km of Bayan-Ula uranium mine is in the normal range,and has no significant effect on the health risk of surrounding residents.
