Research progress on the synergy between enhancing farmland fertility and soil carbon sequestration and greenhouse gases emission mitigation
摘要
Abstract
Food security and global climate change are the two major challenges facing human society today. In the current context of mitigating climate change and ensuring food security, farmland soil is facing dual pressures of productivity improvement and carbon sequestration and greenhouse gases(GHGs)emission reduction.Promoting the coordinated development of farmland fertility and soil carbon sequestration and GHGs emission mitigation is of great significance for countries around the world to deal with climate change and food security issues.Currently, there is a lack of systematic and comprehensive scientific theories on the synergy between improving farmland fertility and carbon sequestration and GHGs emission reduction, and corresponding collaborative technologies, product research and development, and application of collaborative technology models are relatively lacking. Therefore, this article reviewed the research progress on improving soil fertility and carbon sequestration and GHGs emission reduction in farmland, pointed out the current research status of their synergistic development, and the problems and challenges faced in promoting their synergy. At the same time, corresponding suggestions and measures were proposed. This article will provide theoretical support and practical guidance for improving farmland production capacity and mitigating climate change, and provide new ideas for promoting agricultural production quality, efficiency, and sustainable development.关键词
