Abstract
Xi Jinping's important discourse on safeguarding maritime rights and interests have theoretical origins that cover outstanding traditional Chinese culture,the maritime power thoughts of Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels,and the thoughts of the Communist Party of China on safeguarding maritime rights and interests.Its basic connotations are as fol-lows:In the dimension of maritime political rights and interests,it is manifested in upgrading administrative systems,promoting the construction of islands and reefs,and strengthening the rule of law in the maritime field.In the dimension of maritime economic rights and interests,it is reflected in strengthening resource development,cultivating emerging in-dustries,and promoting win-win cooperation.In the dimension of maritime security rights and interests,it is manifested in adhering to equal consultation,opposing external interference,and strengthening the construction of the navy.In the dimension of maritime cultural rights and interests,it is demonstrated in advocating inclusiveness and mutual learning,constructing a discourse system,and promoting all-round development.In the dimension of maritime scientific rights and interests,it is shown in deepening scientific expeditions,achieving self-reliance and self-strengthening,and expanding in-ternational cooperation.In the dimension of maritime ecological rights and interests,it is manifested in attaching equal importance to development and protection,jointly managing and governing the land and the sea,and building ecological civilization.Its value implications are reflected in important theoretical and practical value.关键词
