Dietary Culture in Hainan during the Northern Song Dynasty Reflected in Su Shi's Overseas Collection

摘要

Abstract

From Su Shi's dietary writing in Overseas Collection,it can be seen that during the Northern Song Dy-nasty the diet of people in Qiongzhou was mainly based on the tubers of plants such as yam and dasheen.Meat was scarce but vegetables and fruits were abundant,and people had eating habits such as eating wild food;There were vari-ous types of eating utensils,mainly made of materials such as pottery and tiles.At the same time,it also reflects the dietary ideas of the Northern Song scholars,such as food therapy,scientific dietary structure,and the system of dining together,reflecting the close communication between Hainan and mainland scholars during the Northern Song Dynasty.
