Abstract
The uniqueness and sharing,informativeness and materiality,stability and plasticity,the three pairs of characteristics of the meme of traditional ethnic handicrafts,coexist without contradiction,jointly controlling the forma-tion of a continuum between commonality and difference in genetic traits.The traditional phenotypes of the meme of Hainan Li Brocade include elements such as materials,patterns,techniques,types,work systems,and craftsmanship spirit and product connotations.They are rich in national history and culture information and are combined to form a meta-narrative that interprets the true nature of the Li ethnic group's social situation.In contemporary times,the meme of Li Brocade has mutated in the direction of the commonality of Chinese culture,giving rise to local texts with a dis-tinct narrative style of a community for the Chinese nation.This transformation turns the symbols of ethnic culture into metaphor of a community for the Chinese nation.The meme of traditional ethnic handicrafts is embedded in the collec-tive actions within the narrative framework of a community for the Chinese nation.Rooted in the subjective and active choices of local and ethnic groups regarding common genes,this demonstrates the internal order of the connection be-tween ethnic consciousness and the consciousness of a community for the Chinese nation.Therefore,it constitutes a con-crete practice of forging a strong sense of a community for the Chinese nation.关键词
