摘要
Abstract
To better predict saline tide intrusion and ensure water intake from the Yangtze River Estuary, this study analyzes changes in the characteristics of saline tide intrusion before and after the construction of the Dongfeng Xisha Reservoir over the past decade, based on hydrological data from the Dongfeng Xisha waters, sea level change observation data, and salinity monitoring station data.Corresponding countermeasures are proposed. The results show that after the reservoir's operation began, the frequency and duration of saline tide intrusions have significantly decreased compared to before its operation, with the longest duration of intrusion also shortened. However, the timing of saline tide intrusions has advanced. The main influencing factors include the volume of water flow from Datong in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River and changes in the geographical morphology of the northern branch of the Yangtze River Estuary. The intensity of saline tide intrusion is inversely related to the Datong flow volume;smaller volumes result in greater impacts from saline tides. Moreover, the Xin Cun Sha reclamation project in the northern branch blocked the southern channel, reducing the cross-sectional area for water passage, leading to changes in saltwater intrusion in the northern branch and weakening the reverse flow from the northern branch to the southern branch.Long-term monitoring and early warning preparations are recommended.关键词
