摘要

Abstract

Resource estimation is an important content in solid mineral exploration,and most of the current research is focused on geostatistics or inverse distance weighting method.However,it is not suitable for low-grade mining areas.This paper takes two ore bodies in a molybdenum deposit as an example and explores the application of parallel section method in resource estimation.The parallel section method is suitable for any strike and shape of ore bodies where the main exploration engineering is set up along the exploration line.The estimation parameters include grade,thickness,area,volume,weight,etc.The calculation tables mainly include average grade calculation table,cross-section average grade calculation table,block volume calculation table,block average grade calculation and ore volume,metal volume calculation table,etc.The WPS software can quickly and accurately calculate the corresponding parameters.The paper explores the calculation of weighted average grade using the SUM and SUMPRODUCT formulas,and the use of the IF formula to determine the ore grade.
