Study on the Dynamic and Feedback Characteristics of Shale Oil and Gas Reservoirs from the Perspective of Oil and Gas System Dynamics

Abstract
Oil and gas system dynamics,as an extension of the concept of oil and gas systems,emphasizes the dynamic and feedback characteristics of oil and gas systems.It requires a detailed analysis of material flow,energy flow,information flow,as well as their control and feedback control processes.Shale oil and gas reservoirs,as a new type of unconventional oil and gas reservoir,primarily exist because hydrocarbon buoyancy cannot overcome the low porosity of tight shale,thus preserving hydrocarbons in the shale where they were generated.Shale oil and gas reservoirs have become a new research hotspot in exploration,yet there has been relatively little research analyzing shale oil and gas reservoirs from the perspective of oil and gas system dynamics.This represents a significant gap in effective research methods for shale oil and gas reservoirs.This study analyzes the material flow,energy flow,and information flow processes of shale oil and gas reservoirs from the perspective of oil and gas system dynamics.It suggests that material flow in shale oil and gas reservoirs mainly consists of hydrocarbon generation and expulsion material flows,energy flow includes hydrocarbon generation and expulsion energy flows,and information flow involves the control of hydrocarbons by shale and the feedback control of shale by hydrocarbons.Research and development examples of the Gulong shale oil in the Songliao Basin demonstrate that applying oil and gas system dynamics to the study of shale oil and gas reservoirs is feasible.关键词
