Fiber Characteristics and Performance of Paper Independently Produced by Ethiopia
摘要
Abstract
To evaluate the basic properties and quality of paper independently produced by Ethiopia,bamboo pulp paper used for packaging and banana pseudo-stem pulp paper for writing are selected to analyze their fiber morphology,morphological parameters and mechanical strength.It shows that the fiber morphology of the two kinds of paper is characterized with complete form and high length-diameter ratio.Their fiber lengths are below 2 000 μm and 2 800 μm,while their average fiber widths are 18.5 μm and 20.1 μm,respectively.Their mechanical strengths are relatively low.In view of the problem,the countermeasures to optimize the process and improve the product performance are proposed,in order to promote the development of Ethiopia's paper industry,support the pilot member countries of International Bamboo and Rattan Organization(INBAR)to implement the research and demonstration project on the key technologies for"bamboo as a substitute for plastic",and implement the initiative of"bamboo as a substitute for plastic".关键词
