Impact of Forest Certification on Sustainable Bamboo Forests Management:Quantitative Analysis

Abstract
Based on the theories of sustainable development and sustainable forest management,the evaluation index system was established to assess the impacts of forest certification on sustainable bamboo forest management.With questionnaire surveys,the impacts of forest certification on sustainable bamboo forest management are quantitatively assessed using AHP-fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method.The results show that forest certification has positive impacts on sustainable management of bamboo forest in all aspects,and the degree of the impacts can be ordered as ecological impact>bamboo forest management>social impact>economic impact.Based on the evaluation results,policy suggestions are put forward in view of the existing problems to improve the forest certification system in China,i.e.,strengthening the publicity and promotion of bamboo forest certification,formulating supporting policies to reduce the certification cost,and accelerating the development of the domestic market for certified products.关键词
