Abstract
Bambusa changningensis has been widely promoted and planted in Leshan city,Sichuan province,because of its advantages such as large quantity of shoots,high bamboo timber yield and a good material performance.However,in the young forests which are at the growing state,widespread weeds directly affect the survival rate,the number of shoots and the timber yield of B.changningensis.It is therefore urgent to find a suitable weeding method.Based on the weeding practices in the distribution area of B.changningensis forests,the paper discusses the efficiencies and costs of manual weeding,mechanical weeding,herbicide weeding,mulching for weeds control,weed control with grass and animal weeding in view of the growth of B.changningensis and understory weeds,in order to provide a reference for the efficient cultivation of B.changningensis forest.The suitable time to clear weeds in B.changningensis forests is in April or May and in September or October,and among the various weeding methods,herbicide weeding and mulching for weeds control are the best weeding method,followed by manual weeding and mechanical weeding while anti-weed cloth,weed control with grass and animal weeding are still at the exploration stage,which are the new weeding methods with potentials.关键词
