Abstract
Bamboo,with its unique and beautiful shape and profound cultural significance,is an indispensable element in Chinese gardens.Gardens in the Jiangnan region,the outstanding representatives of classical Chinese gardens,are renowned for their ingenious layout and landscaping techniques.The paper takes four representative gardens in Suzhou,namely Lion Grove,Canglang Pavilion,Humble Administrator's Garden,and Webmaster's Garden,as examples to illustrate the diverse applications of bamboo in Jiangnan gardens from the visual,spatial,ecological,and cultural dimensions.It reveals the unique role of bamboo plants in Jiangnan garden design and aims to offer new perspectives and ideas for the application of bamboo plants in gardens.关键词
