滇东南水牛体重与体尺指标的相关及回归分析
Correlation and regression analysis on body weight and body size indicators of Dian Dongnan buffalo

Abstract
The study aims to investigate the correlation and regression analysis between body weight and body size indicators in Dian Dongnan buffalo.A total of 31 adult male Dian Dongnan buffaloes were selected,and their external characteristics were recorded,while their body size indicators and body weight were measured.A stepwise regression equation for body weight was established.The results showed that the body weight of Dian Dongnan buffalo was extremely correlated with withers height,rump height,body length,chest circumference,abdominal circumference,cannon circumference,chest width,ischial width,chest depth,rump length,ischial tuberosity height,hip width,and heel depth(P＜0.01),and significantly correlated with rump angle(P＜0.05).Among these,the correlation coefficient with chest circumference was the highest(0.951).Principal component analysis indicated that the first principal component was the body type factor,and the second principal component was the rump angle factor.Through stepwise regression analysis,the optimal regression equation was constructed:Body weight=-830.501+1.733×chest circumference+7.260×rump length+6.124×ischial width+4.195×hip width+1.420×abdominal circumference.The study indicates that the body weight and rump angle of Dian Dongnan buffalo have the greatest variation range and the best breeding potential.This method,by screening key body size indicators of Dian Dongnan buffalo,provides a theoretical basis for breeding work after the establishment of conservation farms and for future crossbreeding between Dian Dongnan buffalo and introduced buffalo breeds.关键词
