收入水平对农村居民主观幸福感的影响研究
Research on the Impact of Income Levels on the Subjective Well-being of Rural Residents

Abstract
Increasing farmers'income and enhancing their sense of gain and well-being are essential for the comprehensive advancement of rural revitalization.Based on Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs theory and Social Comparison theory,this study constructs a multinomial ordered logistic model using microdata from the China General Social Survey(CGSS 2017)to empirically investigate the relationship between absolute income,relative income,and the subjective well-being of rural residents.Robustness checks and heterogeneity analyses are performed to validate the regression results.The study finds evidence of the"Easterlin Paradox"among rural residents in China,where increased income does not necessarily lead to proportional improvements in subjective well-being,a finding further confirmed by robustness checks.Both absolute and relative income have significant positive effects on subjective well-being,with variations across regions,age groups,and genders.Based on these findings,and considering both economic and non-economic factors,the study proposes several policy recommendations:focusing on rural economic development,implementing agricultural assistance policies to ensure rural residents benefit from economic growth,increasing income while adjusting its distribution to narrow the income gap and promote common prosperity,and recognizing the influence of historical culture,political systems,and informal institutions on subjective well-being to address higher-level psychological needs and foster spiritual enrichment.关键词
