Research on Web-Based Large-Scale Modeling and Rendering for Railway Engineering Projects

Abstract
Railway engineering projects are typically distributed along linear paths,and using 3D spherical large-scale scenes provides an effective way to showcase the outcomes of such projects.This method has become a standard technology for 3D visualization in railway engineering.However,due to the unique characteristics of railway structures and facilities,developing a 3D visualization system for large-scale railway engineering projects still faces technical challenges,such as rapid model construction,integration with geographic information systems(GIS),and efficient rendering of large-scale scenes.To address these challenges,this paper proposes a comprehensive technical solution for a Web-based 3D system for large-scale railway engineering projects,based on in-depth research into relevant technologies.A railway engineering modeling engine was developed,and the rendering processes and mechanisms for large-scale scenes were optimized.First,the overall technical route of"data clouding,backend computation,and frontend rendering"was proposed.In this approach,all data were stored centrally on cloud servers,with backend servers handling modeling and computation,while models were rendered and presented on the frontend web page.The technical route not only ensured data security but also facilitated balanced load distribution for computation and networking,significantly enhancing the user experience.Secondly,a self-developed railway engineering modeling engine was introduced.This engine,which combined layout-based modeling with a model library,enabled the rapid creation of 3D models for railway engineering.Additionally,a Newtonian iteration-based prediction method was proposed,which allowed for efficient integration modeling of railway engineering models and terrain.Finally,a dynamic loading technique was proposed.Through in-depth optimization of the large-scale scene rendering process and mechanisms,real-time rendering of massive models was achieved without sacrificing visualization quality.This effectively addressed the issues of lag and operational delays that occur during the browsing of large-scale scenes.Based on these methods,a comprehensive railway engineering route selection system was developed,and the feasibility and effectiveness of the methods were verified through practical project applications.关键词
