Abstract

This study conducts research on the key technologies for a 3D design system for railway subgrade within a GIS environment.By establishing a 3D geographic environment,issues such as the lack of modeling capabilities,poor integration,and inefficient transmission of operational data across various stages in a GIS environment were solved.This is an essential step in the future development of BIM for railway subgrade engineering.Based on conventional railway subgrade design standards,construction specifications,and other regulatory requirements,this study delved into subgrade design operational data and their interrelations.On this basis,key technologies such as the calculation,conversion,intersection determination,and Mesh construction of 3D model coordinates were developed,with a focus on the general boundary representation method(Brep)for 3D model data in a GIS environment.Research results indicated that:(1)the railway subgrade main structure and ancillary structures were divided into five major component categories,with component parameters stored in a relational database,laying the foundation for the transmission of operational data at all stages.(2)An operation process framework for 3D modeling was established based on the multi-level spatial relationships of components and the multi-temporal constraints of design,defining the state attributes and updating impact domains of each component in the 3D model.(3)A modeling method driven by"adaptive wire+characteristic section"was developed.This method automatically calculated the geometric information of models and their topological relationships.Combined with dynamic geometric coordinate transformation technology and a regional segmentation intersection algorithm,it solved issues such as positional offsets and integration challenges with the geographic scene when models were integrated into GIS scenes.(4)A 3D design system for the railway subgrade was developed based on the GeoScene graphics rendering platform.With unified model loading,this system achieved high-precision LOD3.0-grade model generation for subgrade plans of hundred-kilometer projects within a GIS environment at minute-level precision.It significantly improved the efficiency and quality of railway subgrade design optimization and decision-making,while greatly reducing manpower and hardware-software resource investment compared to traditional design methods.
