Characteristics of runoff variations and their influencing factors in the upper reaches of Fenhe River from 1957 to 2007

Abstract
The variation points of the runoff controlled by the Jingle Station in the upper reaches of the Fenhe River were diag-nosed at the annual and seasonal scales by diagnostic system for hydrological variation.Multivariate analysis was used to calcu-late the contribution of precipitation,potential evapotranspiration,and human activities to the runoff variation.The relation-ship between runoff,precipitation,potential evapotranspiration,and the El Nino-Southern Oscillation(ENSO)phenomenon was studied by wavelet analysis based on the analysis of the basin variation characteristics.The results showed that:① The variation point of runoff in the upper reaches of the Fenhe River occurred in 1970,and there is a significant downward trend in runoff during the studied period;② The contribution rates of precipitation and potential evapotranspiration to runoff variation were 38.46%and-24.73%,respectively;③ The sensitivity of runoff to influencing factors varies in different seasons,and po-tential evapotranspiration had the greatest impact on runoff in spring,while runoff is mainly influenced by human activities in summer;④ The relationship between precipitation,potential evapotranspiration,and ENSO phenomena underwent significant changes before and after the variation point.关键词
