Overweight and obesity of five unrecognized ethnic groups in China
摘要
Abstract
Tuva,Buryats,Lingao,Bajia and Gejia adults were investigated for 11 physical indicators in Xinjiang Uygur Au-tonomous Region,Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region,Hainan Province,Yunnan Province,Guizhou Province,and the cur-rent status of overweight and obesity of five ethnic groups was preliminarily analyzed.The results were as follows:① The stature,body mass,hip circumference,body mass index,lean body mass,body fat,percent body fat,fat mass index,lean mass index and body water value of Buryats were the highest.The body mass,body mass index,lean body mass,body fat,lean mass index and body water value of Gejia were the smallest.② According to body mass index classification,Tuva and Buryats had higher rates of overweight and obesity,both above 50％,while the rate of overweight and obesity of Gejia was relatively low.The rate of overweight and obesity of Lingao exceeded 30％,and the rate of overweight and obesity of Bajia exceeded 40％.The rates of overweight and obesity of females in the five ethnic groups were higher than those of males.③ According to percent body fat classification,the obesity rates of Tuva and Buryats were higher,followed by Bajia,and the obesity rates of Lingao and Gejia were relatively low.④ Through principal component analysis and cluster analysis,the characteristics of Tuva and Buryats were relatively close,and Lingao and Gejia were relatively close.关键词
