High-quality Population Development in China:Statistical Measurement,Spatial Pattern and Correlation Network

Abstract
This paper constructs an evaluation index system of high-quality population development level from four dimen-sions:total amount,quality,structure and distribution,and then uses the entropy weight method to calculate the level of high-qual-ity population development in 31 provinces of China from 2012 to 2021.Finally,the paper employs the modified gravity model to investigate the spatial correlation of high-quality population development in provinces,and the social network analysis is also ad-opted to reveal the overall form,internal structure and evolution trend of the high-quality population development correlation net-work.The results go as below:There is a wide gap in the high-quality development level of China's provincial population,with the highest in the eastern region,followed by the central and northeast regions,and the lowest in the western region,forming a spatial pattern dominated by"high-high"and"low-low"agglomeration.The high-quality population development level in provinces has strong stability,and the medium and high-level areas have strong radiation effects.There are differences in the development level among the provinces within the cohesive subgroup.关键词
