Abstract
Objective To explore the predictive value of serum ferritin concentration in early pregnancy on gestational diabetes mellitus(GDM).Methods A total of 42 pregnant women with GDM who gave birth in Maternity and Child Health Care of Zaozhuang from June 2021 to December 2023 were selected as the case group,and 50 healthy pregnant women in the same period were selected as the control group for retrospective analysis.Both groups took fasting venous blood in early pregnancy(11 to 13 weeks),and fasting blood glucose was measured by glucose oxidase method,and serum ferritin concentration was measured by electrochemical method.The predictive value of serum ferritin concentration in early pregnancy on GDM was evaluated by the receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve.Results The serum ferritin concentration in early pregnancy of the case group was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).The area under the curve of the predictive value of serum ferritin concentration in early pregnancy on GDM was 0.909(P=0.001).The Youden index was 0.666,the corresponding serum ferritin concentration threshold was 41.8 ng/ml,and the sensitivity and specificity were 97.6%and 69.0%,respectively.Conclusion The serum ferritin concentration in early pregnancy has certain predictive value for the onset of GDM,and can provide clinical basis for the prevention and monitoring of GDM.关键词
