The Daily Crisis and Its Overcoming in Wei Wei' Novel The East
摘要
Abstract
In Wei Wei's novel The East,the attitudes of different characters towards daily life are worth exploring. When "the second day of the revolution" was coming,Guo Xiang and Aunt Yang felt empty and boring. Through the "continuous revolu-tion",they effectively placed their fighting enthusiasm and created a meaningful space that belonged not only to individuals but also to the masses. But for masses with low political consciousness,"continuous revolution" seemed to "hinder" their daily lives and make them confused and tired. The solution proposed by The East is to constantly illustrate the correlation between "continuous revolution" and the benefit of the vast number of poor peasants in political work,in order to effectively prevent the decline of revolutionary enthusiasm.关键词
