时间延展性与有界性:能性述补结构"V得C"允准程度的渐变研究
Temporal Extension and its Boundedness:The Degree of Sanctioning the Potential Verb-complement Constructions"V de C"
摘要
Abstract
The degree of sanctioning the Potential Verb-complement Constructions"V de C"(PVC)concerns the semantic type of verbs.Based on Langacker's Verb Schema,this article classifies the verb into such four types as verbs of accomplishment,verbs of state,verbs of achievement,and verbs of activity,and sets three parameters,i.e.punctuality,homogeneity,and boundedness.The linguistic data show that the influence of verbs'semantic type on the sanctioning the PVC from up to down is verbs of activity>verbs of achievement>verbs of state>verbs of accomplishment.The restrictive degree of the three pa-rameters on the PVC from up to down is manifested as:punctuality>homogeneity>boundedness.According to the interac-tion of components in language construction,the motivation for verbs'semantic type to sanction the PVC lies in temporal ex-tension and temporal boundedness.关键词
