The Application Value of Single Photon Emission Computed Tomography and Computed Tomography(SPECT/CT)in the Diagnosis of Thyroglossal Duct Cyst

Abstract
Objective To explore the application value of single photon emission computed tomography and computer tomography(SPECT/CT)in the diagnosis of thyroglossal duct cyst.Methods A total of 112 patients with suspected thyroglossal duct cyst admitted to our hospital from March 2022 to December 2023 were selected as the study subjects,ectopic thyroid were excluded,all selected patients underwent SPECT/CT examination.The pathological examination results were used as the"gold standard",the diagnostic results of SPECT/CT for thyroglossal duct cyst were statistically analyzed,the SPECT/CT imaging features of patients with positive and negative thyroglossal duct cyst were compared,and the diagnostic efficacy of SPECT/CT for thyroglossal duct cyst was analyzed.Results Pathologic examination results showed that thyroglossal duct cyst was positive in 71 cases and negative in 41 cases.SPECT/CT detected 70 positive cases and 42 negative cases.There was statistically significant difference in mass morphology,cyst content density and enhanced scan performance between thyroglossal duct cyst positive patients and negative patients(P<0.05).The sensitivity,specificity,and accuracy of SPECT/CT in diagnosing thyroglossal duct cysts were 95.77%(68/71),95.12%(39/41),and 95.54%(107/112),respectively,all of which were relatively high;the missed diagnosis rate and misdiagnosis rate were 4.23%(3/71)and 4.88%(2/41),respectively,both of which are relatively low.Conclusions SPECT/CT has higher diagnostic value for thyroglossal duct cysts and can be used for clinical reference.关键词
