Systematic Identification of Zanthoxylum Nitidum and its Five Adulterants Based on"Morphology-Biological Effect-Ultra-Trace Scanning-Fingerprint"

Abstract
Objective:The identification of Zanthoxylum nitidum(Roxb.)DC.and its five adulterants Zanthoxylum dissitum Hemsl,Zanthoxylum armatum,Zanthoxylum bungeanum,Toddalia asiatica(L.)Lam.,and Mahonia bealei(Fort.)Carr will be conducted based on the"morphology-biological effect-ultra-trace scanning-fingerprint"method.Methods:The powders of 6 medicinal materials were observed under an optical microscope.The maximum absorption wavelength of the extracts was determined through ultra-micro UV scanning.Their inhibitory activities against acetyl-cholinesterase,α-glucosidase,and DPPH radical scavenging were detected using an enzyme-labeled instrument.Finger-print was obtained through high-performance liquid chromatography.Results:Identifying exocuticle patterns and color dis-tinguishes Zanthoxylum nitidum from Toddalia asiatica and Mahonia bealei.The rough or smooth xylem distinguishes Zan-thoxylum nitidum from Zanthoxylum armatum and Zanthoxylum bungeanum.In microscopic identification,Mahonia bealei was distinguished based on the crystalline sheath fiber and pericycle fiber.The IC50 magnitude was used to distinguish Zan-thoxylum dissitum in biological activity identification.The maximum absorption wavelength obtained through ultra-micro UV scanning and fingerprint distinguishes between Zanthoxylum armatum,Zanthoxylum bungeanum,Toddalia asiatica,and Ma-honia bealei.Conclusion:This study has comprehensively identified 6 medicinal materials,ensuring the quality of Zanthoxyli Radix,and provided a guarantee for the clinically rational application of Zanthoxylum nitidum.It laid a foundation for the fu-ture identification,quality evaluation,and biological effect evaluation of Zanthoxylum nitidum.关键词
