Abstract
An approach is presented to cure the problem of insufficient bearing capacity and stability of existing gas thrust bearings assembled on a certain type of fuel cell air compressor.Based on the existing gas bump thrust bear-ings,a gas-dynamic thrust bearing test bench is independently designed and built,and the overall stiffness damping characteristics of thrust bearings with different wave-foil structures are analyzed and studied experimentally and nu-merically combined with ANSYS and MATLAB tools.The results show that the overall stiffness of the bearing will continue to change with the increase of loading force,showing a strong nonlinearity.The thickness of the wave foil has a great influence on its stiffness,the latter increasing with the former.Different materials have different elastic modulus,which also has a great influence on the stiffness of the wave foil.The stiffness characteristics of wave foil are mainly affected by wave height and unit wavelength,and the transition mode between wave and wave has little effect on wave foil stiffness.The simulation model established by ANSYS and the stiffness model obtained by MAT-LAB fitting can appropriately reflect the bearing performance and provide reference for subsequent bearing improve-ment.关键词
