摘要

Abstract

In order to determine the cause of a large number of rabbit deaths in a rabbit breeding enterprise in Qiqihar,clinical necropsy,parasite isolation and identification methods,and bacterial isolation and identification methods were used to study the pathogens.The results showed that the dead rabbits exhibited severe diarrhea symptoms,intestinal bloating,and mesenteric edema with congestion;the liver was dark red,hard in texture,sharp-edged,and had obvious necrosis;a large number of coccidian oocysts were found in the excrement.After sporulation and cultivation of the coccidian oocysts,six types of oocysts with inconsistent morphological characteristics were observed under a microscope.The pathogenic bacteria were identified as Proteus mirabilis,and this strain was resistant to commonly used drugs.It is concluded that the cause of the severe diarrhea and mass deaths in a rabbit breeding farm in Qiqihar was due to mixed infections with six types of coccidia,followed by secondary infection with Proteus mirabilis,which promoted the progression of the disease and led to a large number of rabbit deaths.
