Effects of Visual Perception in Outdoor Open Spaces on Thermal Comfort of University Students Receiving Military Training

Abstract
[Objective]The study investigates the effects of visual perception on thermal comfort of university students in military training.It aims to explore the effects of thermal comfort differences,sunlight sensation and prominent colors across the different training sites.The findings are expected to provide valuable references for the planning and design of outdoor activity spaces in university campuses.[Method]During the breaks of military training,freshmen were invited to participate in a questionnaire,and environmental parameters were measured.[Result]74.9%of the students experience one or more types of heat symptoms.Staying in the shade during breaks can significantly improve thermal perception,with an increase of 0.75 in the mean thermal comfort vote(MTCV).Cool colors(green and blue)can significantly enhance thermal acceptability and thermal comfort.[Conclusion]Students receiving military training are confronted with significant health risks during the training process.Visual perception has a substantial effect on the thermal comfort of the students,and a well-designed visual environment can significantly improve their thermal comfort.关键词
