Abstract
In order to investigate the prevalence of brucellosis in dairy cows in Henan Province in recent years,98 222 serum samples of non-immunized dairy cows were collected from 2 661 farms/times in the province from 2018 to 2023 to detect Brucella antibodies,and the results were analyzed by years,regions and population sizes.It was revealed that the average population and individual positive rates of Brucella antibodies were 3.27%and 0.39%,respectively;both the population and individual positive rates tended to decrease yearly with a 3-year cycle in different years,were the highest in Western Henan,followed by Southern Henan,and the lowest in Northern Henan,then tended to decrease with increasing inventory of cows.Brucellosis was mainly prevalent in the population with less than 1 000 cows,especially the individual positive rate was obviously higher in the population with less than 200 cows.In conclusion,brucellosis was generally under control in dairy cows in Henan Province,cases of which tended to decrease,and was prevalent in Western Henan at high risk,especially in small populations/farms,where the disease should be further prevented,controlled and purified.关键词
