Structural Verification and Measurement Invariance of Chinese Short Version of Cognitive Emotion Regulation Questionnaire

Abstract
Objective:The aim of the present study was to verify the factor model of the short version of cognitive emo-tion regulation questionnaire(CERQ-S)in a sample of Chinese university students,and to test measurement invariance of CERQ-S across university students with and without left-behind experience.Methods:The CERQ-S was administrated to 889 Chinese undergraduate students.Results:Confirmatory factor analysis results showed that the nine-factor model of the CERQ-S was well fitted.Multi-group confirmatory factor analysis results showed that configural,weak,strong and strict in-variance of the CERQ-S were all acceptable across left-behind experience and non-left-behind experience undergraduate students.Conclusion:This study suggest that the CERQ-S can be used as a fast-screening instrument assessing cognitive emotion regulation strategies in Chinese university students.关键词
