摘要

Abstract

As a pivotal metabolite of cysteine,cysteamine(CS)is endogenously synthesized within the gastrointestinal tract and hypothalamus across a wide range of animal taxa.Its expanding use in medicine addressed issues such as skin pigmentation and cystine deficiency associated with eye diseases.Furthermore,the supplementation of CS demonstrated promise in improving feed conversion efficiency,enhancing growth performance,reducing adipose deposition,and increasing lean muscle mass.This article provides a comprehensive analysis of the impact of CS on key biotransformation processes,growth hormone axis regulation,and antioxidant defense mechanisms in livestock,thereby amalgamating theoretical underpinnings with empirical data to inform the strategic application of CS within the context of animal husbandry.
