Abstract
Objective Exploring the therapeutic effect of intense pulsed light(IPL)combined with azelaic acid on rosacea and its impact on skin physiological function.Methods A total of 134 patients with rosacea admitted to the hospital were enrolled and randomly divided into observation group and control group between July 2022 to June 2023,67 cases in each group.The control group was treated with doxycycline hydrochloride combined with azelaic acid,while the observation group was treated with IPL combined with azelaic acid.Compare the clinical efficacy and incidence of adverse reactions between two groups,and compare the skin lesion scores,skin physiological functions,and dermatology quality of life index(DLQI)before and after treatment between the two groups.Results The total effective rate of the observation group after treatment was 89.55%,which was higher than the control group's 74.63%,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);After treatment,the skin lesion scores,transepidermal water loss and DLQI scores of the observation group were lower than those of the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The sebum content and stratum corneum water content of the observation group were higher than those of the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05);There was no statistically significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups of patients(P>0.05).Conclusions IPL combined with azelaic acid has a good therapeutic effect on rosacea,which can improve the physiological function of the patient's skin and enhance their quality of life.关键词
