Endoscopic Nasodacryocystostomy Combined with Lacrimal Duct Catheterization in the Treatment of Nasolacrimal Duct Obstruction and Its Effect on Tear Secretion

Abstract
Objective To investigate the effect of endoscopic nasodacryocystostomy in the treatment of nasolacrimal duct obstruction combined with lacrimal duct catheterization and its influence on tear secretion.Methods From May 2022 to May 2024,96 patients with nasolacrimal duct obstruction admitted to our hospital were randomly divided into 2 groups by numerical table method.48 cases in the control group and 48 cases in the observation group were given endoscopic nasolacrimal cystostomy and endoscopic nasolacrimal cystostomy combined with lacrimal duct catheterization,respectively.The efficacy,tear secretion,serum inflammation,complication rate,and quality of life of the two groups were compared and analyzed.Results Comparison of efficacy between groups,the observation group was higher(P<0.05).Three months after surgery,compared with the control group,the level of tear curvature was lower and the volume of tear secretion was higher in the observation group(P<0.05).Three months after surgery,tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α),hypersensitive C-reactive protein(hs-CRP),and interleukin-6(IL-6)were lower in the observation group than in the control group(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of perioperative complications between the observation group(2.08%)and the control group(8.33%)(P>0.05).Three months after surgery,the ocular surface symptom score was lower and the SF-36 score was higher in the observation group compared with the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Endoscopic nasodacryocystostomy combined with lacrimal duct catheterization in the treatment of nasolacrimal duct obstruction can improve the curative effect,improve the secretion of tears,reduce the inflammatory response,improve the quality of life,and reduce complications.关键词
