Effect of Periovulation Cervical Treatment on Pregnancy Outcomes in Patients with Abnormal Cervical Mucus Infertility

Abstract
Objective To investigate the effect of cervical treatment during the periovulatory period on pregnancy out-comes in patients with cervical mucus-related infertility.Methods A total of 120 patients with cervical mucus-related in-fertility who visited the hospital from June 2020 to June 2023 were selected.They were randomly divided into Group A(cervical treatment with fenugreek white tablets and vitamin E capsules)and Group B(intervention with intracervical artificial insemina-tion),with 60 cases in each group.The cervical mucus scores,as well as the levels of interleukin-6(IL-6)and tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)in cervical mucus,were compared before and after intervention in both groups.Additionally,pregnancy rates and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.Results After intervention,the cervical mucus score in Group A was higher than that in Group B(P<0.05).The cervical mucus score in Group A after intervention was higher than before intervention(P<0.05).There was no significant change in cervical mucus scores before and after intervention in Group B(P>0.05).After intervention,the levels of IL-6 and TNF-α in cervical mucus in Group A were lower than those in Group B(P<0.05).The levels of IL-6 and TNF-α in cervical mucus in Group A after intervention were lower than those before inter-vention(P<0.05).There were no significant changes in the levels of IL-6 and TNF-α in cervical mucus before and after inter-vention in Group B(P>0.05).The pregnancy rate in Group A was higher than that in Group B(P<0.05).No significant adverse reactions were observed in either group.Conclusion Cervical treatment with fenugreek white tablets and vitamin E capsules during the periovulatory period can improve the state of cervical mucus and pregnancy outcomes in patients with cervical mu-cus-related infertility,reduce inflammation in cervical mucus,and does not increase adverse reactions.关键词
