The Application Value of the Hindfoot Alignment Saltzman Measurement Method in Adolescent Flatfoot

Abstract
Objective To explore the clinical value of the hindfoot alignment Saltzman measurement method in adolescent flatfoot.Methods A total of 74 adolescent patients with flatfoot treated at Xuzhou Central Hospital between October 2020 and October 2023 were selected as the experimental group,with 74 healthy adolescent volunteers as the control group.Saltzman's mea-surement method was used for all participants to measure the visibility of the tibiotalar joint and assess the degree of hindfoot valgus at different angles in flatfoot patients.Results As the angle increased,the number of visible tibiotalar joints in the flatfoot group showed a decreasing trend,which was significantly lower than in the control group(P<0.05).A comparison of the hindfoot align-ment angle differences at different angles between the two groups found no statistically significant difference(P>0.05).However,the experimental group had significantly lower results than the control group at all angles(P<0.05).Conclusion The hindfoot alignment Saltzman measurement method can accurately assess the degree of hindfoot valgus in adolescent flatfoot and has certain clinical value.关键词
