Expression of Serum β-CTX and N-MID in Maintenance Hemodialysis Patients and Their Correlation with Osteoporosis

Abstract
Objective To investigateExpression of serum β-CTX and N-MID in maintenance hemodialysis patients and their correlation with osteoporosis.Methods A total of 80 MHD patients admitted to the General Hospital of the Chinese People's Liberation Army from February 2021 to February 2023 were selected and divided into osteoporosis group(18 cases)and non-osteoporosis group(62 cases)according to whether they had osteoporosis or not.The levels of β-CTX and N-MID in serum were detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA).The correlation between serum β-CTX and N-MID expression levels and osteoporosis was analyzed by Spearman method.ROC and DCA curves were used to analyze the relationship between serum β-CTX and N-MID expression levels and the occurrence of osteoporosis in MHD patients.Results The serum β-CTX level in osteoporosis group was significantly higher than that in non-osteoporosis group,and the serum N-MID level was significantly lower than that in non-osteoporosis group(P.<.0.05).Spearman correlation analysis showed that serum β-CTX level was positively correlated with osteoporosis(r=0.421,P<0.05),while N-MID level was negatively correlated with osteoporosis(r=-0.484,P<0.05).Compared with β-CTX and N-MID diagnosis alone,the AUC of osteoporosis in MHD patients diagnosed with both methods obviously increased(Z=6.791,P<0.001;Z=9.183,P<0.001).When the high risk threshold was 0.18～0.98,the net benefit rate of the combined detection of serum β-CTX and N-MID expression levels in the diagnosis of osteoporosis in MHD patients was better than that of the diagnosis of osteoporosis in MHD patients alone(P<0.05).Conclusion Serum β-CTX and N-MID levels in MHD patients with osteoporosis are closely related to the occurrence of osteoporosis.关键词
