Abstract

Objective To explore the relationship between early administration of furosemide(F)and oxygenation im-provement in patients with acute heart failure(AHF).Methods This study screened 200 AHF patients who received intra-venous F treatment within 24 hours after arriving at the hospital from April 2023 to April 2024.They were divided into an early administration group(F time≤60 min)and a non-early administration group(F time>60 min).The oxygenation rate of the two groups and the correlation between administration time and in-hospital mortality were compared.Results The early admin-istration group was more likely to arrive by ambulance(P<0.000 1),had higher systolic and diastolic blood pressures(P<0.000 1),and had a higher heart rate/heartbeat(P<0.001).There was no significant difference in New York Heart Association Functional Classification(NYHA)between the early administration group and the non-early administration group(P>0.05).The Get With The Guidelines-Heart Failure(GWTG-HF)score of the early administration group was lower than that of the non-early group(P<0.05).After the diagnosis of AHF,compared with the non-early treatment group,there was no significant difference in ox-ygen saturation of patients before F administration in the early administration group(P>0.05).After F administration,there was a significant difference in oxygen saturation of patients(P<0.000 1).The oxygen saturation of patients increased significantly within 24 hours after treatment(P<0.000 1).During hospitalization,compared with the non-early treatment group,the in-hospi-tal mortality rate of the early treatment group was significantly reduced(P<0.01).Conclusion Early administration of F has a significant positive impact on the oxygenation rate and in-hospital mortality of patients with AHF.
