摘要

Abstract

Boron mud is an industrial waste produced during the production of borax,with an annual output of nearly one million tons.Most of the boron mud is discharged and deposited without treatment,and the valuable elements such as silicon,magnesium and boron cannot be effectively recovered and utilized,which causes serious environmental pollution.With the global attention to environmental protection and sustainable utilization of resources,the resource utilization of boron mud has become the focus of scientific research and industrial production.In this paper,the extraction and utilization of valuable elements such as silicon,magnesium and boron in boron mud,the application of boron mud as an additive in iron ore lumping,the preparation of building materials,sintering materials,waste water treatment agents and polymer composite materials were reviewed.Although the resource utilization of boron mud has made some progress,there are still many problems and challenges,such as the complex composition of boron mud,the difficulty of element extraction technology,and the limited application field and market scale of boron mud,which limit the breadth and depth of its resource utilization.In view of these problems,the development direction of boron mud resource utilization in the future is put forward.
