Abstract
Objective:To analyze the effect of auricular acupressure and Xiakucao Decoction combined with Haizao Yuhu Decoction in the treatment of benign thyroid nodules(TN).Method:A total of 93 benign TN patients in the Department of Endocrinology,Fuzhou Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine,Fujian University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 2022 to December 2023 were selected.According to the method of randomized number table,they were divided into reference group(n=46,given Levothyroxine Sodium Tablets treatment)and Chinese medicine group(n=47,given auricular acupressure and Xiakucao Decoction combined with Haizao Yuhu Decoction on the basis of the reference group).The total effective rate of treatment,TN number,TN diameter,traditional Chinese medicine symptom score,and the serum indexes[insulin growth factor-1(IGF-1),transforming growth factor-β(TGF-β),vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)levels]between the two groups were analyzed.Result:The total effective rate of treatment in the Chinese medicine group was 97.87%,which was significantly higher than 78.26% of in the reference group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment,the TN number in the Chinese medicine group was less than that in the reference group,the TN diameter was significantly smaller than that in the reference group,the scores of number of touching nodules in the neck,feeling of obstruction between the larynx,sighing respiration,depression,dizziness and vertigo,the levels of IGF-1 and VEGF in the Chinese medicine group were significantly lower than those in the reference group,and the level of TGF-β was significantly higher than that in the reference group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:The implementation of auricular acupressure and Xiakucao Decoction combined with Haizao Yuhu Decoction in patients with benign TN has significant therapeutic effects,which can reduce the number of TN,shrink the diameter of TN,improve clinical symptoms and serum indexes.关键词
