Expression of Serum 25 Hydroxyvitamin D in Patients with Newly Diagnosed Graves Disease and Its Relationship with Thyroid Antibodies

Abstract
Objective:To investigate the expression of 25 hydroxyvitamin D[25(OH)D]in patients with newly diagnosed Graves disease and its relationship with thyroid antibodies.Method:From January to September 2023,114 newly diagnosed Graves disease patients admitted to Xiamen Haicang Hospital were selected as the study subjects,all of whom underwent serum 25(OH)D testing.According to the test results,they were divided into 25(OH)D normal group,25(OH)D not enough group,and 25(OH)D deficiency group.Targeted treatment was given to all patients,the differences of thyroid antibodies[thyrotropin receptor antibody(TRAb),thyroid peroxidase antibody(TPOAb),thyroglobulin Antibody(TGAb)]in patients with different 25(OH)D levels were recorded,and the correlation between 25(OH)D and thyroid antibodies was analyzed by Pearson correlation analysis.Result:According to the test results,there were 38 cases in 25(OH)D normal group,42 cases in 25(OH)D not enough group,and 34 cases in 25(OH)D deficiency group.There was no significant difference in TGAb among the three groups(P>0.05).TRAb and TPOAb were significantly different among the three groups(P<0.05).The TRAb and TPOAb of 25(OH)D deficiency group were higher than those of 25(OH)D not enough group,and the TRAb and TPOAb of 25(OH)D not enough group were higher than those of 25(OH)D normal group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The difference of TRAb,TPOAb and 25(OH)D among the three groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).According to Pearson correlation analysis,the 25(OH)D level was negative correlation with TRAb and TPOAb(r=-0.468,-0.395,P<0.05).Conclusion:There is a negative correlation between 25(OH)D level and thyroid antibody levels in patients with newly diagnosed Graves disease,and sufficient 25(OH)D level in patients with early-onset Graves disease are beneficial for improving thyroid antibody levels after treatment.关键词
