Abstract
Objective To study the clinical efficacy of a combination therapy of injecting paraffin oil through a gastric tube and applying mirabilite to the navel in patients with incomplete intestinal obstruction.Methods The subjects selected in this study were 50 patients with incomplete intestinal obstruction admitted to the Colorectal Surgery Department of the Affiliated People's Hospital of Fujian University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from September 2020 to February 2022.The patients were divided into two groups by random number allocation principle,with 25 patients in each group.The control group received routine treatment and nursing plans,while the observation group received additional treatment by injecting paraffin oil through a gastric tube and applying mirabilite to the navel.The total effective rate of treatment,the time of improvement of clinical symptoms and signs,adverse reactions,and hospitalization time were compared between the two groups of patients.Results Compared with the control group with a total effective rate of 64.00%,the observation group had a high effective rate of 92.00%(P<0.05).The observation group had earlier time for the first anal exhaust and defecation,relief of abdominal pain,and recovery of bowel sounds compared to the control group(all P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in the occurrence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).The hospitalization time of the observation group was shorter than that of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The combination of injecting paraffin oil through a gastric tube and applying mirabilite to the navel has a significant effect on incomplete intestinal obstruction,which can accelerate the recovery of gastrointestinal function in patients,shorten hospitalization time and improve the overall treatment efficiency.关键词
