Abstract
Objective To explore the effect of traditional Chinese medicine fumigation and washing combined with ironing therapy on type 2 diabetes patients with peripheral neuropathy.Methods A total of 78 patients with type 2 diabetes peripheral neuropathy diagnosed in Zhangjiagang Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Jiangsu Province from January 2022 to January 2023 were selected and divided into a control group(39 cases)and an observation group(39 cases)by random number table.Both groups received symptomatic treatment measures,with the control group receiving routine nursing and the observation group receiving traditional Chinese medicine fumigation and washing combined with ironing therapy.The nursing effects of two groups were compared,and the evaluation indicators included traditional Chinese medicine syndrome score,nerve conduction velocity,and blood glucose level.Results At admission,there were no statistically significant differences in traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scores,nerve conduction velocity,and blood glucose levels between the two groups(all P>0.05).At discharge and one month after discharge,the scores of various traditional Chinese medicine symptoms in the observation group were lower than those in the control group at the same time.The conduction velocities of the median nerve and peroneal nerve in the observation group were faster than those in the control group at the same time.The levels of fasting blood glucose and 2-hour postprandial blood glucose in the observation group were lower than those in the control group at the same time(all P<0.05),and the above indicators in both groups were significantly better than those at admission(all P<0.05).Conclusion Traditional Chinese medicine fumigation and washing combined with ironing therapy can improve the traditional Chinese medicine symptoms and nerve conduction velocity of type 2 diabetes patients with peripheral neuropathy,and can effectively regulate their blood glucose levels.关键词
