Abstract
Objective To investigate the guiding value of bowel preparation based on Bristol stool classification in patients with type 2 diabetes before colonoscopy.Methods A total of 138 patients with type 2 diabetes who underwent colonoscopy in the Affiliated Hospital of Qingdao University from November 2023 to January 2024 were selected and divided into two groups by random number table method.69 patients in the control group received routine bowel preparation plan,and 69 patients in the observation group received bowel preparation plan based on Bristol stool classification.The quality of intestinal preparation,anxiety and comfort during examination,incidence of adverse reactions,and nursing satisfaction were compared between the two groups.Results After the completion of intestinal preparation,the total score of Bristol Stool Form Scale and the pass rate of intestinal preparation in the observation group were higher than those in the control group(all P<0.05).At 30 minutes before and 10 minutes after the examination,the Self-Rating Anxiety Scale scores of the observation group were lower than those of the control group at the same time,and the General Comfort Questionnaire scores of the observation group were higher than those of the control group at the same time(all P<0.05),and both groups were better than the appointment day(all P<0.05).After intestinal preparation,the total incidence of adverse reactions such as abdominal distension and abdominal pain in the observation group was lower than that in the control group,and the overall satisfaction rate of nursing in the observation group was higher than that in the control group(both P<0.05).Conclusion The implementation of bowel preparation based on Bristol stool classification before colonoscopy in patients with type 2 diabetes is helpful to improve the qualification rate of bowel preparation and comfort of patients,alleviate anxiety,reduce the incidence of adverse reactions such as abdominal distension and abdominal pain,and have relatively high nursing satisfaction.关键词
