Abstract
Objective To explore the effect of knowledge, attitude and practice nursing model on periodontal indicators of type 2 diabetes patients with periodontitis. Methods Eighty cases of type 2 diabetes patients with periodontitis admitted to Nantong Stomatological Hospital from January 2022 to August 2023 were selected and their clinical data were retrospectively analyzed.According to the implementation time of knowledge, attitude and practice nursing,40 patients who received routine nursing before implementation were selected as the control group, and 40 patients who received knowledge, attitude and practice nursing after implementation were selected as the observation group. The blood glucose levels, periodontal indicators,self-efficacy,and quality of life were compared between the two groups before and after nursing. Results The gingival index, attachment loss, and probing depth of the observation group were lower than those of the control group at the same time after 1 and 3 months of nursing. The fasting blood glucose,2-hour postprandial blood glucose, glycated hemoglobin levels, and Oral Health Impact Profile-14 scores of the observation group were lower than those of the control group after 3 months of nursing, and the Self-Efficacy Scale for Self-Care scores of the observation group were higher than those of the control group(all P<0.05).The indicators and scores of both groups at the above time points were significantly better than those before nursing in the same group(all P<0.05).Conclusion Knowledge, attitude and practice nursing model for type 2 diabetes patients with periodontitis can effectively improve the patients'periodontal health and blood glucose level, and improve their oral health self-efficacy and quality of life.关键词
